Discography

The Bats recorded history – earliest to most recent – captures pretty much everything the band have released except songs chosen for compilations that include other acts. If you know of anything else please send us a message and we’ll add it. (I think I’ve just remembered a couple of tribute covers we’ve released that aren’t below).

  2. Discogs mentions an actual CD single version of “Don’t you rise”, released to coincide with an Australian tour, in a card sleeve, with tour dates on the back. Was this an official release, or just promotional. If anyone has this, I’d love to see images, just to prove it exists.

    • Does this website actually ever get looked at/updated/replied to? I don’t see any replies here. Would love something, anything!!

      • Hi Hugh,
Good question. The news and video pages occasionally get updated, especially when The Bats are more active with recording, releasing and touring.
The pandemic has affected these activities.
The Discography page does need in update with The Bats most recent release, Foothills.
Other sites that are linked to through TheBats.co.nz like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Bandcamp, are much more active.
        Thanks for you feedback.

  3. OK thank you for replying (back in January). I’m still wondering about that Australian tour release CD single of “Don’t you rise” mentioned in my post of October 1st 2021. Also, there will be a large cabinet devoted to the 40th anniversary in December, at the University of Canterbury Central Library. Come have a look!
